Indore: Indore Development Authority (IDA) on Friday approached farmers, whose farmland has been marked as part of its three residential schemes on Super Corridor, and managed to persuade at least 13 persons to provide their land for developing the same as per the projects’ layout. IDA chairman Jaypal Singh Chawda and senior officials including CEO Vivek Shrotriya and the land acquisition officer NN Pandey invited the farmers, whose farmland have been marked in its Scheme 166, 151 and 169B, in a camp organized on Super Corridor.
During this, as many as 13 farmers agreed to give their around 17 hectares of land on agreement basis that will be developed as per the layout of said projects.
“As decided, the farmers will be given 20% of developed plots in Scheme 151, 29.5% of developed plots in Scheme 169B and 31.85% of developed plots in Scheme 166 against the land to be acquired from them” Pandey said, adding that private lands, which are marked as part of said three schemes, are being taken from the owners on agreement basis and not on the compulsory basis. He added that there are still around 23 farmers, who are yet to be provided their farmlands for development in said three schemes of IDA. “IDA has respectively developed around 98%, 85% and 92% of its Scheme 151, Scheme 169B and Scheme 166” he said, adding that for the remaining farmers, IDA will hold such cases on weekly basis to approach them to provide their land and get developed plots in return on Super Corridor.
